The Museum of Worcester and its Board of Trustees invite you to our Annual Meeting. Our featured speaker will be Peter Stanton, Publisher Emeritus, Worcester Business Journal, reflecting on Worcester's Evolving Community: A 50 years perspective. Museum leadership will also provide a year in review and a sneak peek into what is ahead for the Museum. Light refreshments will be served.

Join us on your l(a)unch hour to view the Museum’s newest exhibit “Worcester to the Stars: The Goddard Rocket Centennial.” An hour-long tour, led by Director of Exhibits Vanessa Bumpus, has drama, romance, suspense, explosions, and adventure.
Learn more about Goddard’s life, education, and research in Worcester. Featuring loans from local institutions, as well as nationally known collections.
Cost: $15 Museum Admission + Guided Tour; free for MOW members.

Walk Main Street in the footsteps of Worcester's Revolutionaries as they walk a gauntlet of common men intent on defending their liberty and as they spread their revolutionary ideas between the town's taverns and meeting houses. The tour, begins and ends at Salisbury Mansion, 40 Highland Street. Wear comfortable shoes. Space is limited to 25 people. Registration is required. All are welcome - All ages appropriate.

Music at the Mansion
Greater Worcester Opera and the Salisbury Mansion are partnering for a special one-day event that will include our popular Worcester Revolutionary War Tour combined with selections from Greater Worcester Opera’s production of the Tony Award-winning musical, 1776. Join us as we fill the Mansion with music and make the American Revolution come alive!
Tours and performances will be at 10:30 am and 12:00 pm.

Calling all foodies! The Museum of Worcester, Deadhorse Hill, and John Hancock cordially invite you to a special revolutionary dinner. Hosted at Deadhorse Hill, the original site of the Tory hangout, the Heywood Tavern, diners will be treated to a multi-course 1776 inspired menu. In between courses, learn more about Worcester (and food) during the Revolution. This special one-of-a-kind, one night only event is can’t miss for food and history lovers!

Join us for this fun "kid sized" version of our popular Worcester Revolutionary Tour, geared toward children ages 7-12. Learn about how both the Salisbury family and the city of Worcester were involved in the American Revolution during this engaging tour, along with fun facts on how children lived during one of the most important times in American history! And we'll finish our tour with a reading of "Paul Revere's Ride" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This event is FREE thanks in part to the Highland Street Foundation's Spring Week! Lecture & Tour: How Goddard Launched Us into the Modern Era of Astrophysics
Following Goddard's historic launch a century ago, the field of astronomy has been revolutionized by our ability to put scientific equipment and people beyond the Earth's surface. These newfound capabilities have opened up new windows into our Universe, allowing us to study fundamental questions about humanity. How did we get here? Are we alone? What will happen to us in the future? Here, we will discuss how Goddard's feats of science and engineering ushered in this new era and how, even today, we are able to push the envelope of modern astrophysics thanks to his contributions.

The Rocket Man: The Robert Goddard Musical
Dr. Robert Goddard was a relentless inventor and researcher who through his teaching and steadfast experimentation launched the first liquid-fueled rocket on March 16, 1926.
The musical is inspired by Dr. Goddard’s life and his love – Esther, who photographed his progress and continued to fight for his well-deserved patents after his passing.
Worcester’s own Stephen Murray has written a charming must-see musical for all to enjoy.
