'To the Stars': Museum of Worcester celebrates Goddard rocket launch

WORCESTER — A triangular metal frame supporting a rocket is one of the first things visitors will see at The Museum of Worcester new exhibition "Worcester to the Stars: The Goddard Rocket Centennial" officially opening March 16 and running to Aug. 1.

The rocket is a replica but the frame is from an actual rocket launch in Auburn in 1929 and on loan for the exhibition from Clark University, said Vanessa Bumpus, director of exhibits at the Museum of Worcester and curator of "Worcester to the Stars."
