In September 1774, months ahead of the fighting in Lexington and Concord. The militia companies of Worcester County gathered together that month to close the Royal Court, a move that effectively gave control to the Patriots. Join us on our Revolutionary Worcester walking tour to visit some of the sites and hear the stories of how a small town in Central Massachusetts challenged an empire. You hear the stories about the court closing, leaders of the Worcester rebellion, and even learn about the Worcester schoolmaster who became President of the United States.
Tours will begin and end at Salisbury Mansion and FREE for MOW Members and $10 for Non-Members. No reservations are required, payment will be taken at beginning of tours.
