Candlelight tours will be offered in partnership with Preservation Worcester from 5:30 –7:30PM every Friday evening November 28, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026.
In addition to visiting historic Salisbury Mansion, visitors are invited to presentations of the Salisbury family’s three-generation history by Preservation Worcester docents in the drawing rooms of the Salisbury House located next door to the Mansion at either 5:30 or 6:30PM prior to or following a tour of the Salisbury Mansion.
Admission is FREE for members of Preservation Worcester and Museum of Worcester, and $15 for non-member visitors. Reservations are not required; payment will be taken at the door.
Salisbury Mansion is located at 40 Highland Street. Worcester’s only historic house museum opens its doors with each room – parlor, library, drawing rooms, and other spaces – decorated to display the spirit of the season. The candlelight tour brings to life both historic buildings, offering a glimpse into the past, making it a uniquely authentic New England holiday experience.
Salisbury Mansion is open for “Home for the Holidays” regular visits every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with tours at 1, 2, and 3PM; general admission is FREE during the Museum’s 150th anniversary year with the support of the McDonough Family Charitable Fund.
Don’t miss this heartwarming tradition to start your holiday season!
