Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor, daughter of iconic Black comedian Richard Pryor, discusses her new book, a hybrid memoir and historical exploration of the n-word. Something We Said: Richard Pryor, a Notorious Word, and Me peels back the curtain on the private life of her famous father, and interrogates the most perplexing word in the American lexicon, a word he helped popularize. The book has been featured on Fresh Air with Tonya Mosley and covered by the New York Times, People, Forbes, CNN, and PBS NewsHour.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Museum of Worcester, Worcester Black History Project, and Worcester Women’s History Project. The evening’s conversation will be moderated by Deborah Hall.
