Description
The house named Merrifield, at 23 Trowbridge Road, was occupied by William Trowbridge and Harriette Merrifield Forbes and their descendants from 1899 until 2002. He was a judge and she a photographer; both were historians. Their five children grew up steeped in the past. Daughter Esther’s book Paul Revere won a Pulitzer Prize for history. The catalog, filled with family photos, offers a window into their highly unusual lives.
