Hats Off to the Revolution

Monday, April 15 – 1-2:30pm at Salisbury Mansion

The British are coming! Celebrate Patriots Day at Salisbury Mansion as we kick off school vacation week with all things Revolutionary War including the opportunity to make your own tricorn hat or mop cap, a reading of “Paul Revere’s Ride,” and the time to learn all about the Salisbury’s role in the War. This program is appropriate for children ages 6 – 12 with an adult. Cost: $10 per child; $5 per adult. Registration is required and limited to 20 total.

Little Women Dress Up and Picture Book Reading

Tuesday, April 16 – 1-2:30pm at Salisbury Mansion

Did you ever wonder what it was like to live during the 1800’s? Let’s go back in time, and dress up like Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, and take a historic tour filled with fun facts about how children lived in the 19th century. We then finish with everyone’s classic favorite, an abridged version of “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott. This program and reading are designed for children between the ages of 5-10 with an adult. Cost: $10 per child; $5 per adult. Registration is required and limited to 20 total.

A Revolutionary War Tour

Thursday, April 18 – 1-2:30pm at Salisbury Mansion

Come join us in commemorating a week of Patriots and the beginning of the Revolutionary War at the Salisbury Mansion! This interesting and informative tour highlights how both the Salisbury family and the area of Worcester were directly involved in this momentous time in our history. This tour is designed for teens and adults who are interested in local history, US history and everything Revolutionary! Cost: $10 per person. Registration is required and limited to 12.
