DIRECTIONS TO WORCESTER HISTORICAL MUSEUM

FROM MASS PIKE:

• Take MA Pike to Exit 10 (Route 290 East to Worcester) to Exit 17.
• Turn left on Belmont Street/Route 9.
• At the fifth set of lights turn left onto Lancaster Street.
  
• At the third set of lights (on the corner of Linden and Pleasant Streets), turn left onto Pleasant.
  
• At the end of the block turn left onto Chestnut Street.
  
• The museum is the last building on the block on your left.
  
• Limited free parking is available immediately behind the museum.
  
• Walk around to front entrance on Elm Street.

FROM ROUTE 495:

• Take Route 495 to Route I-290 West towards Worcester.
  
• Take Exit 18 (Lincoln Street). At the end of the ramp, turn right and follow signs to Route 9 West.
  
• At the second traffic light, turn right onto Route 9 West/Highland Street.
  
• Follow Highland Street across Main Street and up the hill (Worcester Auditorium on right, Court House on left.).
  
• At the third traffic light, turn left onto Lancaster Street (New England Eye Center on left). Stay in left hand lane.
  
• Follow Lancaster for 7 blocks. It weaves a bit and changes name to Linden Street. Linden's left lane becomes a turn only lane at Pleasant Street traffic light.
  
• Turn left onto Pleasant.
  
• Go one block to traffic light and turn left onto Chestnut Street.
  
• Museum parking lot is 50 yards from the end of the block (on the left), just past a church.
  
• Walk around to front entrance on Elm Street.

FROM ROUTES I-290 WESTBOUND,
I-190 (FITCHBURG/LEOMINSTER AREA):

• Take Route I-290 West to Worcester to Exit 18 (Route 9 and Highland Street).
• At the end of the ramp, turn right and follow signs to Route 9 West.
  
• At the second traffic light, turn right onto Route 9 West/Highland Street.
  
• Follow Highland Street across Main Street and up the hill (Worcester Auditorium on right, Court House on left.).
  
• At the third traffic light, turn left onto Lancaster Street (New England Eye Center on left). Stay in left hand lane.

• At a fork in the road, bear right onto Main Street.
  
• Follow Main Street for five miles into downtown Worcester.
  
• At the corner of Main and Austin Streets, turn left onto Austin Street.
  
• Turn right at the next set onto Chatham Street and up a hill.
  
• Follow Chatham street to a set of traffic lights at the corner of Pleasant and Chatham Streets.
  
• Go straight through the set of traffic lights. The museum is the last building on the block on your left.
  
• Limited free parking is available immediately behind the museum.
  
• Walk around to front entrance on Elm Street.

• Take Route 9 West into Worcester. (Route 9 becomes Belmont Street when you cross from Shrewsbury into Worcester.)
  
• Follow Route 9/Belmont Street into Lincoln Square(Crowne Plaza Hotel is on the left, Worcester Auditorium is on the right.)
  
• After you go straight through Lincoln Square, the street changes to Highland Street.
  
• After the crest of the hill, at the corner of Highland and Lancaster Streets, turn left onto Lancaster.
  
• At the third set of lights (on the corner of Linden and Pleasant Streets), turn left onto Pleasant.
  
• At the end of the block turn left onto Chestnut Street.
  
• The museum is the last building on the block on your left.

• Take Route 9 East into Worcester. At the fork in the road, bear left following Park Avenue/Route 9 East.
  
• Follow Park Avenue/Route 9 East for 4 or 5 miles, until you reach Highland Street/Route 9 East.
  
• Turn right onto Highland Street/Route 9 East (Elm Park is on the right and PriceChopper Supermarket is on the left).
  
• After the second traffic light, there is a parking lot on your left. Turn into the parking lot.
  
• Salisbury Mansion is located in the far left of the parking lot.
  
• Free parking is available closer to the house.
