Loan and Reproduction Policies
The following information and conditions pertain to images for display or publication in any medium.
How to Request Permission
Patrons seeking reproductions of graphics from the museum library collection must make their request in writing. All requests must include:
a) The negative/accession
number for existing negative work
b) The specific file name/location/visual reference of the original material for new photography.
c) A photocopy of image (where possible, for visual reference.)
If the above information is not available, image research is required. Please call (508) 753-8278 ext. 105 to make an appointment or inquire about the collections.

Standard delivery time for any image is three to four weeks. Rush jobs are extra. Images are shipped via US Mail for a $5.00 fee unless customer arranges pickup or express mail service.
Before reproducing an image, the museum requires that the patron agree to the following conditions:
Any image originating in the museum collections that is used for display or for publication must be accompanied by the following credit, to appear in a prominent place:

Permission will be granted for the specific purpose(s) requested. Any further use will require additional permission. Patron may not sell, loan, donate, or copy any image secured through the museum. That is the exclusive right of Worcester Historical Museum. At such time that the prints are no longer needed for display or for publication purposes, they may remain only in the personal possession of the patron or his or her family/business, or they must be returned to the museum.
$40 for members, $50 for non-members for an 8 x 10 black and white glossy. For smaller and larger prints or digital orders consult the photographic reproduction fee chart. Prepayment is required for orders totaling $100 or more.
In addition to reproduction fees, patron is also responsible for any permission fees that might apply depending on intended usage. Please call for rates.
1) Photocopies are provided for research only, and may not be used for publication or exhibition without museum permission.
2) All photocopying is at the discretion of the librarian, as the fragility of certain documents may preclude copying.
3) Photocopies are limited to twenty pages per day per patron. No publication or manuscript volume/collection may be copied in its entirety.
