About the Harvey Ball Smile Award

The Harvey Ball Smile Award was created in 2001 by Worcester Historical Museum to recognize an individual, group or organization who has done something rather fantastic for the city of Worcester. The award also honors the legacy of Worcester-born Harvey Ball, creator of the world-famous smiley face.
